* For effective teaching to occur, therapists first need to estabilsh instructional control over students. The first 3 - 5 sessions are usually necessary for Positive Pairing to be constructed, in which teachers pair themselves with positive reinforcement. Effective learning will naturally take place once students have developed positive associations between the presence of teachers and outcomes.
